Risk Safety / Technical Safety Professionals required for our specialist consultancy client based in Aberdeen. Our international client is rapidly expanding and have an urgent requirement in their growing Risk and Safety Department to undertake a variety of risk and safety consultancy projects within the oil and gas and petrochemical sectors for onshore and offshore facilities around the world.
There are several staff positions within the organisation and our client is particularly interested in the following experience levels;
- Senior level Risk Safety Consultants from the oil and gas, petrochemical, mining or power industries
- Partner / Director level Risk Safety Consultants with strong client facing experience and skills, Aberdeen presence within the oil and gas, petrochemical, mining or power industries
- Of particular interest are candidates with experience of work in Middle East, South Africa or Russia.
Dependent upon the number of years of experience our client would expect demonstrable:
- Experience of managing projects and personnel
- Strong knowledge of the oil & gas sector and other areas such as chemical and process industries
- Knowledge of Risk and Safety Assessment techniques in relation to international standards and familiarity with latest UK regulatory developments relevant to major hazard industries.
All candidates should have a science or engineering degree relevant to Technical Risk and Safety assessment for major hazard industries and experience in some of the following:
- Consequence Assessment
- QRA
- Preparation of HSE Cases/ COMAH Safety Reports
- SIMOPS Assessment
- Bow tie analysis
- HAZID Chair/Scribe
- HAZOP Chair/Scribe
- SIL/ LOPA Chair/Scribe
- Escape, Evacuation and Rescue Assessment
- Emergency Systems Survivability Assessment
- Safety critical elements and performance standards
- Emergency Response
- Fire and gas engineering
- RAM Analysis
- HSE Management Systems
- HSE audits
- Human factors engineering
- Safety culture.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate:
- Excellent communication skills in the English language – including oral, written and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work successfully within a team
- The flexibility to be able adapt to changes
- A desire to assist in the growth of the Risk and Safety Team.
