| Group Health and Safety Environment Manager |

A hands on Group Health and Safety Environment Manager professional is required for a leading food processing and engineering company based in Nottingham to further develop and maintain Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems throughout the Company.
Responsibilities include implementing, maintaining and monitoring health and safety action plans and systems, carrying out risk assessments and audits, training and liasing with all levels on the importance of health and safety.
The ideal candidate will have relevant Health and Safety Management / Group level SHE experience ideally within the heavy engineering or food processing industry or similar and be Nebosh or equivalent qualified.
This is a challenging position, reporting directly to the Operations Director and requiring work at high levels of autonomy.
The role is versatile and requires flexibility with tasks ranging from risk assessment, through to defining and driving company policy, ensuring compliance with rules, regulations and legislation.
You will need to be able to inspire and motivate people, creating a positive safety environment in the company. You will also require confidence and the ability to positively enforce change.
It is essential that you have a hands on but pragmatic approach and can demonstrate experience and knowledge in the above areas:
" Creation and implementation of Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work " Confined Spaces " Pressure Systems including steam generation " Workplace Transport " Fire Risk Assessment " Induction Training " Maintenance Operations " Permits to Work " Control of Contractors " Work at Height " Environmental Permits " Auditing
