Our client, a leading supplier of mobile devices requires a Bid Engineer/Bid Manager to join their dynamic and exciting sales force in their plush offices based in Cambridgeshire.

Reporting into the Bid Manager, the successful individuals will be responsible for reviewing and fulfilling bid requirements, taking bids from start to finish, strategy planning, customer support on a technical side, work well with management and contribute to decisions.

Our client is looking for people that are qualified to degree standard or equivalent within engineering, electronics, telecommunications or software or can demonstrate 2 - 4 years commercial experience working as a Bid Manager/Engineer within Engineering, Electronics, Software, IT Solutions, Telecommunications or similar.

Candidates which are strong in one area of the skills required and need training and support in others should apply.

Ideally our client is looking for candidates that can review customer bid requests and materials like the following: pre-qualification questionnaire, RFQs and tenders. Someone who can generate bid plans in accordance with bid response timeframes in collaboration with stakeholders, ensure that agreed bid plans are delivered, flag delays and resource issues as appropriate, engage Product Management and Development representatives with technical compliance statements and technical solutions.

Other desired skills are: Profit and Loss statements, maintain bid files, maintain bid databases, participate in specific bid initiatives working closely with the Head of Bid Management and to assist in the evolution of procedures and systems.

Technical Skills: Project Management, Financial and commercial acumen, Microsoft Office (advanced in Excel), Excellent written communication skills.
